Indira Gandhi Government Dental College, Jammu, is committed to maintaining a safe, respectful, inclusive and academically supportive environment for all students. Ragging in any form—whether verbal, physical, psychological, social or through digital platforms—is strictly prohibited and will not be tolerated within the college campus, hostels, clinical areas or any other place associated with the institution. Ragging is not a tradition, introduction or expression of seniority; it is an unlawful and punishable act that violates the dignity, confidence and well-being of students.

As Principal & Dean of Indira Gandhi Government Dental College, Jammu, I appeal to every student to uphold the values of discipline, compassion, professional ethics and mutual respect. Senior students are expected to welcome and guide their juniors with courtesy, responsibility and empathy. Every new entrant to this institution must feel secure, encouraged and free to pursue education without fear, humiliation, intimidation or harassment.

All students are advised to refrain from any activity that may amount to ragging and to contribute actively towards a healthy and student-friendly campus culture.
